Intern Life

The Majority of your time is an intern is going to be spent doing outreach. When we start a new church its up to the core team and interns to bring people to services we have met in outreach. Being in mainly unreached nations almost all of church visitors often need a personal invite to even know what a church is. Without outreach our churches wont grow.

We always have heaps of fun doing outreach and is usually done in a team situation, meeting new people everyday in fun ways. All of our outreach is simply based around making friends and furthering current friendships. Its from this base of connect and friendship that we have opportunities to invite people to experience church, hear about Jesus and even join a Lifegroup.

Here are 3 of the main outreaches most of our churches do.

Interns are at universities everyday making new relationships with young people. Most campuses are open to the public, especially the cafeterias. This is a great place to make new friends and also meet up with friends we are already reaching out to.

Street Live - Free English

Street Live is taking a band out to the streets, playing music and talking with those passing buy or those who stop to watch. This is one of our most fruitful outreaches (in many not all locations)

This is often paired up with Free english, Holding signs that say – free english, lets speak english etc. This is another draw card for our churches in Asia as many people want to learn english and make international friends.

Parties and hang outs

There’s no easier way to connect friends than to bring them to a party! Dinner, House Parties, Beach, Park we do it all! The more we can develop freindships the more open people are to coming to church and learning about Jesus. Parties with a purpose!

Leadership & Discipleship

You will also be required to be part of a “lifegroup”, which is a discipleship based group that meets each week to do life together, share from the bible and grow as a Christian. Also there will be opportunities to become a lifegroup leader, discipling young Christians in their walk with god.

Discipleship Meeting

Hear teaching and insights each week direct from our Senior Pastor which will help you grow as a person and a leader.

Depending on the location, each church service is about 4 hours from setup to pack down.
Some campuses have multiple services on different days.

Interns are required to serve at church services each week, in teams that need support as well as your gift areas.
Teams at church include: worship, welcome, setup, packdown, sound, lighting, media, resource, kids, café and many more.
